Clonakilty, 20:00PM

 Ibane Gaels 1-11 Kilmeen 0-12

In their third year of playing together Ibane finally won their 1st u21 hurling championship match with a hard fought win over a plucky Kilmeen side . On a fine night on a good Clon surface, both teams were level on 5 times in the 1st half  before the decisive score of the half came via a great Daniel O Driscoll goal which left Ibane leading at half time 1-07 to 0-7.  Ibane were playing well in the 2nd half but were finding scores hard to come by and with 10 minutes to go were up by 4 points 1-11 to 0-10  .Ibane then lost a man to a 2nd yellow  card and had to fight a rearguard battle to keep Kilmeen at bay  who gradually reduced the lead to  a 2 point game, but stand strong the defence did and when the ref blew the final whistle Ibane had come out on top by 1-11 to 0-12 . Ibane are in the semi final now against the winners of Bantry and Sam Maguires
