Barryroe. THIS IS THE COUNTY 1/4 FINAL PLEASE SUPPORT, 15:00PM

I suppose that the stats, on this game if available, would have shown that Barryroe had the lion's share of possession and territory, but statistics don't win matches.

Charleville had only a couple of attacks in the first half, but each time, they seemed to find the net. With two minutes on the clock, the visitors burst through, Caroline McCarthy made a fine save, but could do nothing about the rebound.

Five minutes later, Rachel Sheehy opened the home account, with a pointed free and four minutes later, Barryroe scrambled the ball to the net, with Ciara O'Sullivan seeming to get the final touch.

Back came the visitors for another goal and Rachel replied with another free. Two minutes later, a Hannah Whelton goal, saw us again hit the front, and points by Ciara O'Sullivan, Hannah Whelton and Marie Dineen, saw us edge clear at 2-05 to  2 goals. Two minutes, Charleville had their third goal, and the half ended with Rachel Sheehy swapping points with the visitors.

We led 2-06 to 3-01 at the break, but now faced a strong cold wind. The visitors pace continued to trouble Barryroe in the second half and they added 2-01 to a Rachel Sheehy free.

Charleville looked a bit more balanced as a team with more players, nearer the age. We had a number of the winning Scith Na Scoil players starting and we were a little caught for pace at times.

Hannah Whelton tried hard, as did Rachel McCarthy and Sally Smith cleared some great ball. Rachel Sheehy gave her all around the middle of the field, while Róisin Dullea was the pick of the younger players.

All in all a decent display against a good Charleville team and this team can now concentrate on the West Cork Competitions still left to them.

Hannah in full flight.

Niamh in a race for possession.

Back in numbers as Pat looks worried.

Breaking away.

Free ref !!!

Going for goal.
