Report for U16 Camogie County League game Sunday 15 March @ 12:30pm in Barryroe

           Result:             Barryroe 3-4                Glen Rovers 1-1

 

 

The ground conditions were good but the air was bitterly cold.

 

This was the girls’ first game of the season.  The opening score was a point from play by Kate Whelton. This was followed by another accurate point from Ciara O’Sullivan. Barryroe won a free & Kate surprised The Glen and scored a goal.  Aoife Kearney closed the first half with a point. Half time score was Barryroe 1-3, Glen 0-0.

 

Glen Rovers opened the 2nd half with a point but this was cancelled out by a pointed free by Kate Whelton. Kate went onto score another goal which was set up by Aoife & Katie McCarthy but Glen Rovers responded with a goal. The final score of the day, a goal came from Ciara O’Sullivan.

 

This very young Barryroe team put in a massive performance and great team work was demonstrated by all.
