Ibane Gaels 6-13 Sliabh Rua 1-02

Ibane Gaels progress to the semi-final after a comprehensive win against a young Sliabh Rua side played in very wet Riverstick on Friday last. It didn't take long for Ibane to settle and with a good supply of ball from a dominant Ibane midfield, Conn Dineen and Michael Wycherley both found the net early on. With Ryan O'Donovan and Jack Lawton hurling up a storm Ibane were totally dominant and retired at the short whistle 4-06 to 0-02.

There was no let up in the second half, and with Adam McSweeney's direct running causing a lot trouble for the Sliabh Rua defence, more scores were tagged on by a multitude of personnel. Sliabh Rua goal coming from a penalty with the very last play of the game. Final score 6-13 to 1-02. Bigger challenges lay ahead for this team as they take on Cuchulainns in the P2 Semi Final, time and date to be confirmed.
