After a lacklustre first half of this 13 a side non-exam hurling league game Ibane trailed the host club by 3-12 to 1-05, the goal coming from the stick of centre forward Liam Colbert. Playing with more urgency and directness in a much improved second half display Ibane finished the stronger of the two sides to out score their opponents by 3-08 to 0-08 in the final 30 minutes, the goals courtesy of Ronan O'Sullivan, Anthony Fleming and an Adam McSweeney 20m free. Final score: Ibane Gaels 4-13 Ahán Gaels 3-20.
