The boys in blue notched up their second win of the campaign after a solid team performance against Newcestown on a lovely evening for football in Barryroe. Trailing by 3-03 to 2-05 at half-time after playing with the breeze, Barryroe produced an excellent second half performance to take the points after an entertaining hour’s football. Killian Kirby produced a man of the match display in goal to deny the Newcestown lads time and again whilst the defenders in front of him marked tightly and tackled fearlessly. Both midfielders worked hard and linked well with the forwards leading to some lovely scores - the quality of point taking being especially noteworthy.
