Ibane Gaels 2-12 Urhan 1-13

On Sunday morning in Caheragh Ibane Gaels qualified for the final of the Minor A football championship with a good victory over Urhan.

Urhan opened the scoring with two points after ten minutes. The Ibane lads settled into the game and a fine goal from Ryan O’Donovan was the difference between the sides at half time. The second half was evenly contested and Urhan reduced the deficit to a point at the end of the third quarter.  A goal from a penalty increased the Ibane lead to four points. Entering injury time Ibane led by two, an Urhan point set up an exciting finish. With five minutes injury time to be played the Ibane lads defended with discipline and added another point with the last play to run out worthy winners on a score-line of 2-12 to 1-13. Ibane now meet Clonakilty in the final.
