Barryroe 3-02 Enniskeane 1-05
On a bright sunny day in front of a large crowd in Clonakilty, Barryroe prevailed to win the West Cork U12 B Camogie Final in a highly competitive game against Enniskeane. With the aid of a strong wind in the first half, Barryroe scored 3-01 with goals from Aoibhinn McKeogh (2) and Emma Collins. Enniskeane came back strongly in the second half and scored some stylish points but a robust defence with Alannah Sexton, Sarah Harte and Ellen O’Donovan clearing an amount of ball and a crucial long distance point by Maebh O’Sullivan meant Barryroe won out on a score of 3-02 to 1-05.
The trophy was presented by Ger Corcoran to the team captain Mia O’Driscoll. The cup was then taken in a parade of cars through the Courtmacsherry, Butlerstown and Lislevane.
