Barryroe travelled to sunny Newcestown on Monday evening for an U12 football league game but came away empty handed as the home team had the better of the exchanges from start to finish. Trailing 0-4 to 1-8 at half-time, Barryroe tried hard in the second half with corner back Se Gannon, midfielder Jamie Collins and forwards David James Hitz and Travis O’Sullivan to the fore. Next up for the U12s is a return fixture with Newcestown in hurling next Monday night in Barryroe.
