On Thursday evening in Clonakilty Ibane played Sam Maguires in the Under 14A football championship.
Played in very difficult conditions Ibane did well in the first half not to concede a goal. With the elements at their back in the second half the Ibane boys gained control and goals from Danny Lawton and Olan O’Donovan (2) enabled them to run out worthy winners by six points.
Ibane had outstanding performers on the night with James Crowley, Brian Sheehy, David Holland, Olan O’ Donovan, Diarmuid McCarthy and Danny Lawton.
