Barryroe and Randal Og served up a first-class game in the U21 football final on Sunday April 10th at Clonakilty's new complex in Ahamilla.

Randals opened with a brace of points in the first five minutes, but Barryroe found their feet and soon went into the lead courtsey of two points from Darren McCarthy and one from Brian Fleming. It was nip and tuck from here to half time as the lead changed hands on numerous occasions. Barryroe points came from Tadhg O'Brien and Darren McCarthy while Cian O'Donovan scored a goal just before half time to ensure a 1-05 to 0-07 lead at the short whistle.

On the resumption, Barryroe shot into a three-point lead with points from Darren McCarthy and Cian O'Donovan but their luck deserted them after a defensive error led to a Randals goal in the 46th minute. The Ballinacarriga lads dominated the final quarter to run out 1-14 to 1-09 winners.
