MATCH REPORT: IHC 1st Round

23 May, 2016

Barryroe 0-10 Dungourney 2-23

Dungourney were much too strong and ran out easy winners against a disappointing Barryroe in the first round of the Intermediate Hurling Championship played in Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday night last. Two soft goals in quick succession mid-way through the first half left Dungourney in the commanding position of 2-07 to 0-07 at the short whistle.

Barryroe never got out of the blocks in the second half and even though Dungourney played the majority of the half with 14 men they were never troubled by an off colour Barryroe team, running out convincing winners 2-23 to 0-10.

Barryroe must now knuckle down and put in some hard yards on the training paddock as they will play the losers of Meelin or Ballincollig in the next round.
