We are holding a Presentation Night for our very successful 2017 Great Wild Atlantic Marathon Walk on Sat 25th November in the Pier House Bar at 9pm. All are welcome to attend, where we will have the official handover of the entire proceeds to Courtmacsherry RNLI Lifeboat totalling €7,056. That is a really tremendous amount for this event and a sincere thank you goes out to all who helped in any way, in making our inaugural event such a great success. Because we had such great sponsors, we are proud to say that the entire proceeds of the Walk is going to the Courtmacsherry Lifeboat. The walk which was a joint initiative by the Courtmacsherry Lifeboat Station in conjunction with Barryroe Gaa, captured the imagination of all both young and not so young and we would love if you can come along on Sat 25th where we will have some slides and photos to show and some sponsored food as well. And what’s more, it’s all systems go for next year with Saturday August 11th pencilled for the Second annual Great Wild Atlantic Marathon Walk. Any suggestions on next year’s event will be more than welcome on the night. We are planning a few small route changes following our debriefing in August but it will be just as challenging and no less beautiful. See you all on the 25th.
