Ibane ladies weekly notes

Last week was very busy for the club, with several teams competing in league games. First to the field were the U12A team, who made history as the first ever team to compete for the Club at A grade! Their first league game of the season took place on Thursday evening against O'Donovan Rossa. Their second game comes hot on the heels of the first, taking place on Monday 13th away to Kinsale.
The U14 team competed in the league quarter final on Friday evening last, and were defeated by Dohenys on a scoreline of Ibane Ladies 3-10, Dohenys 4-13. The girls should be very proud of themselves, having demonstrated great skill and determination throughout what was a high intensity game.
In upcoming fixtures, the U16 team start their season on Thursday 16th, at home (Barryroe pitch) against Keelnameela. Throw in is at 7:30. Their second game of the season will be on Sunday 19th in Beara at 1pm.
Finally, on Friday night last the Club welcomed our newest sponsor on board. Thank you to John Michael Foley of Foleys Funeral Directors and Monumental Masons for his sponsorship of the Junior teams jerseys. The jerseys were officially presented to club chairperson Tina Holland on Friday night last. A framed jersey was also presented to Conor Harrington of Pad Joes part in recognition of the support he has given the club since its foundation 5 years ago.
