On Sunday next, the first day of Autumn, the parish of Barryroe will be so proud that Ryan O'Donovan, a member of the Cork Minor footballers, will play Galway in the All Ireland Minor Football Final in Croke Park. It will be a very proud day for Barryroe GAA Club and all the mentors, coaches and fellow players who have assisted with Ryan's development over the years.
Many moons have passed since a minor from Barryroe has graced the hallowed turf donning the blood and bandage on All Ireland Final day. We encourage all households and businesses in the villages of Courtmacsherry, Lislevane, Butlerstown and the surrounding hinterlands to enter into the All Ireland spirit and display the Cork colours.
Barryroe GAA club also send their best wishes to Ryan's Ibane Gaels teammate Jack Lawton of Burrane, Timoleague who has been one of the star performers this season.
