Save the Date - AGM 2020

04 December, 2020

The Annual General Meeting of Barryroe GAA Club will take place Wednesday the 16th December 2020 at 8:30pm. Given the current COVID related restrictions surrounding indoor gatherings, this meeting will held online via Microsoft Teams. This virtual AGM is the first in the club's history. To ensure this goes off smoothly, we would ask all members and interested parties who plan to attend to take note of the following detail:

AGM Meeting Invites

We ask that all members and interested parties who wish to attend the virtual AGM to send an email to [email protected] All of these attendees will receive a Microsoft Teams email invite in advance of the AGM. Please note only these individuals will be allowed virtual attendance on the night. This is in line with security measures for running online meetings. All requests to attend the virtual AGM should be submitted no later than Thursday 10th December.

Meeting Moderator

The club secretary will moderate the meeting on the night. All attendees will be muted by default. Our preference is that if any attendee wishes to speak about a motion, they submit their intention to speak in advance of the meeting. Those attendees will then be unmuted in a structure fashion by the Secretary. The procedure for making an adhoc point on the night will be shared at the start of the meeting. See Motions section further below.

Annual Reports

The Secretary's and PRO's report will be shared via email in advance of the AGM and briefly reviewed on the night. The Treasurer's report will be shared on the night.

Membership 2021

Membership 2021 details will be proposed and discussed on the night. A new online systems called Foireann is being launched by Croke Park in the coming weeks on which annual membership can be paid to each club. Further details to be shared on the night.

Election of officers at Adult AGM

No nominations will be made on the night of the AGM. Nomination and motion templates can be located at http://res.cloudinary.com/dvrbaruzq/image/upload/tgtkohyuhk5pqjr0xvpo.pdf. Cork" no later than Thursday 10th December 2020.

We ask you to ensure that anyone you have nominated is agreeable to their name being put forward for the position. Please note there will be no electronic voting for positions on the night of the AGM in line with recommendations from GAA. Any votes must be "delivered" paper votes. With this in mind, should the scenario arise whereby there are multiple nominations for an officer position, details on how this voting process will be facilitated will be provided to eligible voting members on Friday 11th December (once nominations are received and finalised).
