Ibane Gaels 5-12 Kilmacabea 1-08
Congratulations to the Ibane U14 footballers who defeated Kilmacabea in the Division 3 Championship Final on Sunday evening last. A lightning quick start which saw Ibane race into a 1-02 to no score lead after 5 minutes set the platform for the win. Ibane playing against the breeze and the hill in the first half retired at the short whistle leading 2-05 to 1-06. A Riley O'Donovan rocket of a shot which nearly burst the net in Ahiohill was the defining score in the 45th minute. Ibane added further scores from Captain Jamie Collins and from the very impressive Cillian Coakley to run out deserving winners 5-12 to 1-08
