Ibane Gaels 5-16 Sliabh Rua 5-10
Ibane had a good win over Sliabh Rua in their opening U17 league game played in Timoleague. This was a high scoring contest Ibane raced into a 1-05 to 0-00 lead helped by a Charley Twomey goal. Sliabh Rua hit back with goals and the teams ended the half level at 2-10 to 3-07, the second Ibane goal from Jack Twomey.
The second half continued with scores coming thick and fast and it was Ibane who finished stronger to win by 5-16 to 5-10 Luke Murphy with 2 and Daire Walsh claiming the goals.
