U8 Camogie Blitz a great Success+ Presentation to Maedhbh+Marie

The photos might suggest Southern California and it was indeed a glorious morning at Barryroe Park. We had eight teams for a blitz, two from, Barryroe, Courseys and Valley Rovers, while Kilmeen and Balinascarthy also took part.
Four games were played at a time, starting and finishing together, thanks to John Hand's use of an air horn. (Where was that last week when Cork needed the final whistle ? ).
At the end of a busy day, there were medals for everyone,(just about as so many players turned up) and these were presented by Barryroe's under 16 All-Ireland winners, Maedhbh Sexton and Marie Dineen, who themselves were then presented with pendants honouring their achievements. The pendants featured a Cork jersey on a silver chain.This was then followed up by a crack catering team feeding the hungry hoards and everyone went home happy.
Sometimes we need to stand back and give ourselves a pat on the back.
