Christmas Day Swim at Broadstrand.
The Annual Christmas Day Swim takes place again this year at 12 noon in Broadstrand. This is the 39th annual Swim and again this year all proceeds are in aid of COPE and The Southern Branch of Cystic Fibrosis. Sponsor cards are available from Martha Drake (087 9439487), Vincent O Donovan (086 2530637) or Rosarie Connolly, Cregane, Timoleague. You can also just turn up on the day and enjoy the Warm Tropical Water on the Sandy Shore of Broadstrand and you will be entitled to a Nice cup of Hot Soup or a Hot Toddy specially made by the Outhouse Caterers from Courtmac. It is one of those days when young and old race to get wet and race even faster to get dry. This event is strongly supported each year by Club players young and old....come along and kickstart the Holidays and at the same time raise some money for terrific Local organisations.
