You might remember that Danny Murphy first asked the question if any Barryroe players had played in a Corn Uí Mhuirí, (Cork Colleges senior football), final, well it turned out that that Neil Whelton had played in a semi-final and more detective work by Danny has turned up two more semi-finalists. He reckons that Paidi Collins and Kevin McCarthy may have played a Corn Ui Mhuiri semi-final in the prime of their youth (i.e. the early nineties) for the famed hurling nursery, Farranferris College.
