While still missing a few players due to holidays, we were able to field a formidable team for this 12 a side encounter. The match started and finished in brilliant sunshine, but the mid part of the game was played in cold, sleety rain, more reminiscent of a winters evening rather than the end of summer! Barryroe came through this testing encounter victorious, with the first half goals a telling factor in the end. A great display of blocking and hooking impressed the coaches, John Joe, Tom and Paul on the sideline, as did the fine scores especially in the first half. Clon put the pressure on in the second half but after several goal mouth scrambles, Barryroe's dogged defence usually came away with the ball.
Passage West will be the visitors to Barryroe next Saturday for another challenge match, with players keen to enjoy their last weekend of 'freedom' before school re-opens on Monday!

Some pictures from the day.
