Vincent O'Donovan writes;

The 41st Annual Christmas Day Swim takes place at Broadstrand, Courtmacsherry at 12 noon on Friday in aid of Cope and Build4Life Cystis Fibrosis. Over the decades this swim has been organised by connections from Courtmacsherry and Timoleague and has grown into a great meet and greet morning in the beautiful surrounds of Broadstrand Bay with Horse Rock and The Old Head of Kinsale forming a pretty Backdrop.  Once again this year, we remember one of our founding members, the late Sean Connolly from Cregane, Timoleague whose family are one of the driving forces behind this simple and effective fundraiser for these local worthy charities.  Sean always last out of the water on Christmas Morning and we will remember him as we take to the sea in whatever weather Friday gives us. Sponsor cards are available from Committee Members, Martha Drake (023 8846486), Rosaria Connolly ( 023 8846194) and Vincent O Donovan (023 8840367).  Or just turn up on the morning and contribute to the collection. Hot toddies will again be available under Beverage Manager Micheal Hurley and Friends and bowls of Hot refreshing Soup from Joan O Donovan and her committee. The swim was started by a few hardy young teenagers in 1975 and 41 years later, some of these have never missed a year although it might be their only swim in the entire 12 months.

Quick reminder of last year here.

Lads and lassies we need someone to come forward to be our P.R.O.. This day in nine weeks time, I will be on my way to the "Land of the Long White Cloud". We need someone who can put a couple of words together, don't worry about the technical side, I will always be in the background, even when in New Zealand.

Perhaps someone from the Camogie side would like to step forward. The camogie teams generate more internet traffic than the rest of the club put together and remember, there a decent camera going with the job.
