Huge turnout for Paddy.

21 February, 2016

There is an  old song called "21 years is a mighty long time".

What then of a man who has given 50 years service to the Barryroe GAA club. A big crowd gathered in the Lifeboat Inn to pay tribute to a once in a lifetime club servant. Richard O'Flynn was the M.C. for the evening and he introduces speakers, Sean De Barra, Seosamh O Crulaoich, Vincent O'Donovan and Vincent Sexton.

Able M.C. Richard gets the evening underway.

Sean gave a rundown on club history.

Seosamh O Crulaoich of the Carbery Board speaking.

Vincent O'Donovan spoke on behalf of players and former players. He mentioned the players Paddy recruited, (kidnapped in my own case), from outside the parish.

Vincent Sexton recalls old times.

"Former greats", Kieran White and Eamon Murphy travelled to pay tribute to Paddy.

A section of the large crowd in attendance.

Special guest was Cork legend Jimmy Barry Murphy, (well done Billy), and the Barr's man proved very popular with the crowd.
