Ibane won the battle of the Gaels in this minor hurling league game played in Timoleague. Ahan opened the scoring but an Eoin Lawton goal gave Ibane an early lead , Ahan hit back with a goal of their own to lead 1-04 to 1-01 but 2 goals in quick succession from Mark Crowley and Jack Cahalane left Ibane leading at half time by 3-02 to 1-04 .Ibane played better in the 2nd half and led by 7 points with 10 minutes remaining but lost their focus and Ahan got back into the game through a goal from a close in free , Ibane were hanging on in the end and it took a great save from sub goalie Dylan Harrington to give them the win on a score of 3-08 to 2-09.
