Trainers: Dan O’Dwyer

  Pat Tobin

Results:    Game 1 Barryroe 2-0  Sliabh Rua  2-5
  Game 2 Barryroe 3-0  Eire Og       3-0

The weather conditions were ideal for the matches.  Our first game was against Sliabh Rua who were very strong and skillful, particularly in the forward line.  All scores came from Sliabh Rua in the first half.  Great work done by Clodagh Moloney in the half back line in this half.  In the second half Sliabh Rua opened the scoring with a goal, followed by a point but Barryroe responded very quickly with a goal from Roisin Dullea who got great assistance from Ciara O’Sullivan.  Ciara then went on to score the final score of the match, a goal.  Great performances from Grace Tobin and Naomi Murphy in the back line in this half.

The second game against Eire Og was very exciting as it was more equally matched.  Eire Og got the first score, a goal but Ciara responded by scoring a fabulous goal and was greatly assisted by Jessica McCarthy.  Eire Og went on to score another goal in this half.  The second half opened with a goal from Eire Og but Barryroe girls showed some great camogie skills and determination. Ciara went onto to score the last two goals of the match. Great effort by Shannon Chapman and Eva Scallan-Dowd.

Their next scheduled U14 game is away to Bride Rovers.
