Sunday 18 May 2014Intermediate Hurling - League

Barryroe, 14:00PM

Barryroe hung on to win by the bare minimum, in an edgy Intermediate hurling league game today. A strong, cold wind blew towards the dressing room end and the home side had first use of it.

The home side led at the break, 1-10 to 1-08, with Kierán Hurley getting the goal. With the wind favoring Aghabullog in the second half, we needed a good start and after ten minutes, we were three points up, at 1-13 to 1-10. Three points in a row for the Mid Cork side, levelled matters, but we immediately got our noses in front again.

it was level again at 1-14 a piece, but we ourscored the visitors by 2 points to one in the final minutes, to finish winners by 1-16 to 1-15.

A good win for an experimental side, with Kierán Hurley and Kieran Griffen the pick of the home players.

Some pictures from the game.
