Result:    Blackrock 3-3  Barryroe 6-4

The weather conditions were ideal for a match. It was a beautiful, calm and warm evening.

In the first half, Blackrock opened the scoring with a goal, but then Barryroe’s Ciara O’Sullivan and Blackrock exchanged points. Ciara was on target again with a goal ably assisted by Chloe Collins and then Ciara followed up with another point.  The next score came from Sarah O’Regan, a lovely goal and again was assisted by Chloe Collins.  Ciara went onto score a point which was well set up by Katie McCarthy. There were to be more scores in this half from Barryroe, firstly from Roisin Dullea scoring a super goal and after a Blackrock point, Andrea Tobin sent the ball into the back of the net to leave the half time score Blackrock 1-2 , Barryroe 4-3.

The opening score of the second half came from Roisin Dullea who was on target with a point but the Rockies responded with a goal.  Megan Murphy was in the waiting for a score and did so with a very accurate goal.  Blackrock then won a free and a got a point.  Andrea scored again, another fine goal.  Blackrock scored the final score, a goal before the final whistle blew.

Everyone played extremely well, great team work and skills from all the girls.
