Friday 13 Jun 2014Ibane U14F 'B' - Friendly

Barryroe, 18:45PM

With the Championship due next Friday, this friendly gave us a run out beforehand. Kilmeen are a grade above us and have a number of big strong players on the age.

The visitors bombarded our goal early on, but good defence kept us well in the game. Midway through the first half however, Kilmeen hit a purple patch, and by half time, they led by 5-4 to 0-2, with our points coming from Brian O'Donovan and Olan McSweeney.

We played into the dressing room goal in the second half, aided by the wind and the game was more even, with both sides adding 2-3. Brian O'Donovan had 1-02, Conn Dineen got a goal and Liam Fleming had a point.

Friday night sees us take on Newcestown in the championship in Bandon.

Thanks to Caroline for the updates.
