Enniskeane, 19:00PM

Dohenys 2-09 Ibane Gaels 0-13

Ibane were beaten in the semi-final of the U21B hurling championship by Dohenys. Ibane were disappointed coming off the pitch in Enniskeane tonight after losing this  game, it was a game they could have won but the concession of 2 soft goals proved to be their undoing. Dohenys started the better and were 2 points up before Ibane scored through a Finbarr Butler free. It was Finbarr, through frees who got 7 of Ibanes 8 points in the 1st half the other being a great Cathal O Donovan score but a Dohenys goal on the 20 minute stage levelled the game and the sides ended the 1st half level 1-05 to 0-08. The sides were evenly matched in the 2nd half the difference being the second Doheny goal which left Ibane chasing the game. Ibane had a lot of chances near the end but wrong options were taken and some of the shooting was off which allowed Dohenys to run out winners 2-09 to 0-13. While it was disappointing to lose Ibane kept fighting till the end and this is a young team with 14 of the starting team underage next year and 7 of the team that finished are still minor
