Dungourney ( County 1/4 Final)., 11:00AM

U16 Camogie Quarter final was a very exciting and fast game played in Dungourney v Dungourney on Saturday morning. An early start was needed, by all involved, when we left the co-op at 9am.
Kate Whelton opened the scoring with a fantastic point. Followed by an equalizer from Dungourney. Rachel Sheehy next to score  with another point. Great display from Marie Dineen with fine solo up the field and a great pass to Kate Whelton who finished with a goal.
Roisin Dullea, Mari-Claire Whelton and Niamh Whelton defended well but Dungourney scored a quick goal. A huge puck out from Caroline McCarthy found Ciara O'Sullivan and scored a fantastic goal from near the corner flag. Two  points finished the Dungourney scoring in the first half. Rachel Sheehy scored a point from 45. Followed by 2 points from Kate Whelton. First half 2-5 v 1-3.
Second half Dungourney were on fire. Barryroe matched their every effort with Aisling Sheehy,  Sally Smith and Rebecca McCarthy in half back line refusing to let their side down and defending well. Hannah Whelton was very strong in the half forward line and Therese McCarthy kept the pressure on the Dungourney backline. Very low scoring was produced in the second half but Aideen O'Riordan scored a great point from out field and Andrea Tobin won the puckout and fired through a fantastic goal which kept our team in front winning on a score line of 3-6 v 2-5.
