A fantastic game which was exciting to the final whistle. While the Barryroe girls proudly took to the pitch in their new gear, Clon were ready for us. They scored the first goal and kept savage pressure on our backs to keep it a close game. Then a super pass in from Jessica saw Tara score a lovely goal. Half time saw us level pegging a goal each. Our subs were brought on and played great Esther & Ali & Mira in the fowards and Emma in defence. Roisin Mcc played a stormer and caught alot of ball. Second half was full on, some fantastic points and a goal by Jessica saw us take the lead for the first time. Claire Tobin moved into goal and while things were quiet for her for a while , Clon scored a quick goal and were all fired up again. A lovely point from Ciara saw us hang on to the lead but Clon weren't finished yet and buckled down to score a great goal which saw them in the lead by a point. While we tried really hard to get a score back, time ran out on us and Clon won by a point. But to be fair it was only a point and the girls played a fantastic skillful game. Our girls have gone from strength to strength in the past few weeks and it showed tonight on the pitch. Our next game is at home against Inniscarra. . Bring it on.
