Barryroe 6-02 Kilbrittain 5-06

Barryroe lost out by the narrowest of margins to a late Kilbrittain goal at the end of this challenge game played in foggy conditions in Barryroe. Barryroe led at half-time 2-02 to 1-02, the goals coming from the sticks of captain Se Gannon and impressive full-forward Colm Kirby. Further goals followed in the second half but it was the black and amber boys ability to put the ball over the bar that proved the difference between the sides in the end. Well done to both sides for producing an entertaining and competitive hour’s hurling. Team: Aaron Fleming, Sean Flynn, Brian Sheehy, Ben O’Dwyer, Zac Farrell, Luke Murphy (1-0), Donnacha Coakley (1-0), Daniel Moloney (0-1, free), Killian Kirby (1-0), George Russell, Michael O’Donovan, Dermot Dineen (1-1), Adam Sexton, Colm Kirby (1-0), Se Gannon (capt., 1-0).
