Barryroe 3-06 Ahan Gaels 5-13

On a wet and windy night in Castletownkenneigh, Barryroe were competitive throughout this game and though Ahan Gaels deserved the victory in the end the margin could have been much closer but for some missed chances at one end and the concession of a couple of soft goals at the other end. After playing with the strong breeze in the first half, Barryroe trailed at half-time by 2-05 to 5-03.

In the second half, Killian Kirby (now playing outfield), Daniel Moloney and Luke Murphy continued to show great leadership whilst Sean Flynn’s well-taken goal, coming at the end of a great move, was the stand-out score on the night. Well done to all the boys who gave their all and will take great heart from this performance as they now enter the shield competition.
