Ibane Gaels 2-08 Carrigaline 3-11

Ibane were beaten in this first round replay of the U21 Premier 2 Hurling Championship,  the final margin was six points but this was a bit harsh on Ibane's effort as the teams were level with five minutes to go and it was two late goals from Carrigaline that won the match. Ibane started well and led 1-02 to no score, the goal from Darragh O'Donovan. Ibane missed chances which would have put them further into the lead their play deserved, it was Carrigaline who done the scoring however and led at half time 1-07 to 1-02.

Ibane began the second half well and had the scores level with 35 minutes gone helped by a David Murphy goal, There was never more than two points between the teams in the next twenty minutes and Ibane had it levelled at 2-07 to 1-10 at the 55 minute stage before Carrigaline struck for the late goals.

Ibane now play Ahan Gaels in a local derby in round two.
