Barryroe 1-12 Ballygarvan 2-14

Ballygarvan beat Barryroe 2-14 to 1-12 on Sunday last in Brinny in the first-round of the 2021 intermediate hurling championship. Ray O'Halloran's 16th minute goal put Ballygarvan into a 1-04 to 0-03 lead, Barryroe came back strongly, aided by a superbly worked team goal finished expertly by Robbie Kiely in the 18th minute resulting in Barryroe retiring at the short whistle leading 1-06 to 1-04. Cormac Dowd's goal midway through the second half put Ballygarvan back in front, 2-07 to 1-08, and late points from Mark Kennefick ensured that they took the points on offer.
