Narrow Defeat for U14 Camogie

U14 League vs Valley Rovers – 16/6/16/
This was our final league game to be played. This was a much more even game compared to our game against Courseys. Valleys were first to score with a quick point in the opening minutes of the game followed by another one shortly after. It was then our turn to score with a real sneaky goal from the wing from Chloe Collins. Our girls were quick to off load the ball and had a few chances to score but were unlucky as just went wide of the post. Valleys scored a goal and a quick point. Aine, Saphira and Claire Dullea along with Holly in goal played super and stopped another few attempts on goal. It took us another 10 minutes before we got our second goal which was a super score from Jessica to keep us in the game at half time – 1-3 – 2.0 .
Valleys again were first to score in this half with a goal just 10 minutes into the half. After that it was our turn again with some good running by Eva & Roisin got the ball up and Chloe passed off to Jessica to score a great point. This was followed by another by Chloe for the puck out. Our forwards – Eimear, Megan & Chloe & Charlene were unlucky not to score another goal, but the backs just cleared it out. Naomi, Claire Tobin & Lauren, were kept busy in the half back line and cleared a lot of ball away to keep the pressure on Valleys. Jessica went on to score another 2 great points, however Valleys were lucky and got 2 goals towards the end of the game.
