Páirc Uí Chaoimh final inspection

19 July, 2017

Barryroe Club County Board delegate John Byrnes leads the final inspection at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in advance of the first game in the new stadium on today Wednesday. The stadium itself certainly looks well and both pitches, main and the All Weather 4G pitch look mighty impressive. Its well worth a visit for for the All Ireland Hurling Quarter Finals on Saturday and Sunday (if you can get your hands on a ticket!). Built like a super bowl, the terraces on both the City and Blackrock ends are superb.

It's a mighty change since the exploits of our marvelous Junior County win in 2007 when the teams had to tog off in the portocabins or the never to be forgotten draw against Charleville over 30 years ago, in the County Semi Final, when some of us were in terrible pain on the floor of what then were tiny dressingrooms!
