FĂ©ile na nGael 2019

06 June, 2019

The All-Ireland Féile na nGael U14 hurling tournament takes place all over Co.Cork this weekend. This competition sees over 80 hurling teams and 50 camogie teams travelling from all over Ireland to stay with host clubs in Cork and take part in a feast of hurling over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Ibane Gaels, having previously benefitted from the experience of Féile three years ago when they qualified for the football equivalent played in Kerry, welcome the Lamh Dearg club from Keady, Co. Armagh as their guests for the weekend and they will be staying with families of U14 players across both parishes. Ibane play games in Barryroe on Friday evening at 6pm against Four Roads (Roscommon) and 7.30pm against Bandon whilst simultaneously, Lamh Dearg will be playing their first two group games in Timoleague against the same opposition. On Saturday Ibane take on Lamh Dearg in the final group game in Timoleague at 11am and regardless of the outcome of these games both teams will travel to Clonakilty for a quarter-final in the afternoon before heading to Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the Cork v Waterford Munster senior hurling championship game that evening. Should either team have the good fortune to qualify, the semi-finals and final of the competition will be played in Clonakilty on Sunday.

All are encouraged to come out in support of the lads over the weekend and sample the unique atmosphere that is the Féile competition.
