Páirc Uí Chaoimh Football Blitz

The Barryroe U10 and U11s had a great day out in the end of year blitz in Páirc Uí Chaoimh last weekend. They took part in several games as part of the Carbery East squad, which were split into four teams, against other Carbery teams. Afterwards the lads were treated to a tour of the ball / practice alley and the dressing rooms where Dan Peet from this years Cork Minor Panel gave them an insight as to what it was like playing and winning an All Ireland for Cork. Dan placed huge emphasis on practicing at home on a daily basis and being able to kick off both right and left feet.
A big thanks to Paudie Crowley and James McCarthy for the training sessions in Ballinascarthy over the last number of weeks which were available to everyone on the age.
We encourage and hope the lads continue their practice and development during the off season and that parents will encourage and kick around in the back yard or garden, but mind the windows!
