Barryroe 4-36 [48] Ballymartle 0-05 [5]

Hunger is a great and rare sauce. Barryroe had it in rich abundance in this one-sided Co-Op Superstores Lower Intermediate Hurling relegation play-off tie against the second string selection of Ballymartle, at Charlie Hurley Park, Bandon on Saturday evening. When one throws in a liberal sprinkling of hurling finesse allied to some superb point scoring over the course of the hour as well, then, the hurling cuisine served up by the Barryroe lads was par excellence. Alas, on conclusion of on field activities one could only reminisce if Barryroe had produced such a performance in the earlier championship games.

That brings a curtain down on our hurling year and a big thank you to all the players and management teams for their efforts during this condensed season.
