Fr George O'Mahony R.I.P

The death has occurred of Very Reverend Fr George O'Mahony P.P. O’Mahony (Ballincollig and late of Dreenacreenig, Drimoleague, Co. Cork) on June 10th 2021, after an illness bravely borne with great hope, Very Reverend Fr. George P.P., in the loving care of his family at his niece’s residence Catherine and Michael Pat Ward, Durrus. Beloved son of the late George and Kitty O’Mahony and brother of Michael, Joe, Jerry, Siobhan (Hurley), Catherine (Feehely), Marian (Vallely) and Mary (Cronin), uncle of the late Martina (Power) and brother-in-law of the late Liam Feehely. Deeply mourned by Bishop Fintan Gavin, fellow clergy, parishioners, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

In accordance with HSE and Government Guidelines Reverend Fr. George O’Mahony P.P. will lay in rest in the Church of St Mary and St John Ballincollig from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, June 11th 2021 in conformity with church guidance for those who would like to visit for personal prayer. A private Requiem Mass will take place at 2.30pm Saturday 12th and will be live streamed on www.churchservices.tv/stmjballincollig

The Funeral Cortège will depart from Durrus Friday (June 11th) at 9:30am and travel via Bantry Town, Quarry Well Road, Castledonovan, Dunmanway, Coppeen, Crookstown, Ballincollig.
