Barryroe played Kilmeen, Clonakilty and the home team Doheny's and were victorious in all three games. The extra training session hosted by Tom on Tuesday evenings, added to the regular training every Saturday seems to be paying dividends and the players control and confidence on the ball is growing for all to see. Many of the other teams trainers were quite complementary of our batch of young players after the final whistle blew. As we count down to All-Ireland Final day on September 8th, I know a lot of our young stars are dreaming of perhaps pulling-on the Cork jersey in future, and going on last weekends performance, who knows, we may have a Barryroe man lifting the Liam McCarthy cup in the not too distant future!
