This morning about 8 an earthquake struck about 10/11 miles off Ballymacshoneen on the Seven Heads. It was recorded at seismic stations in Dublin, Kerry, and in the English stations.
This is the first time ever, there has been earthquake activity in the area, but this incident measured about 2.6 on the Ricter scale.
Some people in Courtmac and Timoleague felt the quake although Ballymacshoneen remained unmoved .
