Flow sweet river flow.

18 September, 2014

This year Courtmacsherry Rowing Club will take part in London's Great River race for the first time. The following rowers from our Veteran Men's squad along with Brian Whelton, our Club Chairman, will take on the gruelling 24 mile course.

John Colgan, John Dineen, George Henchion, Stephen O'Leary, Shane Robinson.

The clubs participation in the race is completely funded by the individuals involved but we would like to use the event as an opportunity to raise money for two charities that are close to our hearts. The charities that we have chosen to support are

The Irish Cancer Society and Aware

We would very much appreciate your support in helping us to raise funds for these worthy causes.

Please read a few words about the charities that we have chosen to support below. You can donate using the "sponsor me now" button below via credit or debit card. You can be assured that your transaction on the mycharity.ie website is very secure. You will automatically receive an e-mail from me thanking you for your support, and acknowledging the amount of your donation. Any donation no matter how small is hugely appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for your support,

Courtmacsherry Rowing Club
Irish Cancer Society

The Irish Cancer Society is the national charity dedicated to preventing cancer, saving lives from cancer and improving the quality of life of those living with cancer through patient care, research and education.

The Society is financed entirely by voluntary contributions from the public and receives no government funding. We rely on thousands of dedicated volunteers from around the country to help with our fundraising activities. We are the largest voluntary funders of Cancer Research in Ireland, and we also provide support and nursing care for people at every step of their cancer journey.

Help us continue to deliver our much needed services throughout Ireland. To see a full list of our upcoming events, please see click here (www.cancer.ie/events) and get involved! If you are setting up a fundraising page on MyCharity.ie, please register your event with us first so that we can provide you with fundraising materials and assist you with your fundraising. Contact us at CallSave 1850 60 60 60 or email [email protected]. Thank you for joining us in the fight against cancer.
