Under 8 hurlersgo to Ballineen.

Barryroe U8 took part in the Carbery Region U8 Monster hurling blitz on Saturday 4th of October 2014 in Enniskeane. This was the final hurling blitz of the year for this current U8 group. They started playing in these blitz's back on the 29th of March and play ever second Saturday thereafter alternating between hurling and football. The final football blitz will take place next Saturday in Clonakilty between 10am and 12pm.
Teams are made up of 7 players. 1 goalie, 2 backs, 2 midfielders and 2 forwards with sub rotation and each player getting to play in different positions. Each team plays 3 matches on the day of a blitz.
We had 2 team in each of the blitz's throughout the year.
Each club is asked to provide a young ref and James Maloney was our ref today.
Special thanks to coaches Tom Farrell, TJ O Donovan and Norman Fleming who had plenty of help from parents and supporters.
After the last game today each player was presented with a medal from Cork players Mark Ellis Cork Senior hurler and Luke Meade Cork Minor hurler.
