Last Saturday saw last U8 football blitz for the year

14 October, 2014

Last Saturday saw the end of the U8 football blitzes for the year, with over 600 U8 children in attendance from clubs throughout West Cork playing on all 4 pitches in Clonakilty GAA grounds. It was a sight to behold, the future looks bright for Cork GAA.
Barryroe were well represented with 20 players on the morning, forming two teams of 10.
Each team played 3 matches in glorious sunshine.
Players were presented with medals after the matches by our young ref on the day James Maloney.
Group pictures were taken with Cork player Thomas Clancy (Clonakilty) and Brian Hurley (Castlehaven).
Special thanks to all the parents and families who turned out to support the lads, with your support the lads will keep playing hurling and football for years to come.
Can I encourage you to keep them practicing over the winter months.
