Who let the dog(s) out ?

10 March, 2015

There was a Race night recently in the Cork Track for the Cork Camogie team and as usual the Parish was represented.

(I've been sitting on this story for a while as the Lawers were checking it out).

Travara Megan 1st on the night John (senior) 4/1 outsider  and Sevenheads Star John (junior) 2nd 6/4 favourite on the night.

They backed the fella that was 2nd and never backed the fella that won so you can imagine just what they know bout dogs..

One of the biggest crowds above in years to support the Camogie and the biggest amount of sponsors on the card with a lot of

local support in sponsorship from Clon Timoleague and Barryroe.

We shoulden't really say this, but we will anyway.

The dog that won, Travara Molly, was the same dog that Denis Regan forgot to close the back of the trailer on

coming form trials in Curraheen, she fell out between Bandon and Timoleague and was found by Cath Russell Courtmac,

who took her to the vets with only a few scratches, Big search on between Curraheen and Butlerstown. Den laid low

from the track for a few months. He got the sack as chief handler with John Regan after that.

Some pictures from the night.

Some of the Cork backroom staff, with the connections, (who backed the wrong dog).

I'm not sure who the camera man was here, but it did him no good being that near the Cork Rose of Tralee, Anna Geary.

Cork Trainer and Dog Trainer( ?).

I always thought he knew a bit about dogs.

In case anyone thinks I'm just enjoying myself here, I'm working very hard on the website.

Here I am today,  pining for Broad Strand.

I also hope to see the Crusaders play on Saturday and am hoping to pick up some new ideas for the Pre-match

entertainment for the Junior "B" hurling Championship.

Also, well done to the Intermediate Hurlers, who had a good win over Castemarthy at the week-end. Short report under "Latest Results".
