Maura Whelton R.I.P.

Barryroe GAA members were saddened to learn of the passing of Maura Whelton (Lislevane) on the 30th of April 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff at Clonakilty Community Hospital. Maura (nee Cowhig) beloved wife of the late Michael Joe, much loved and adored mother of Batt, Pat, and Josephine (Cahalane), predeceased by her brothers Jackie, Jim, Jerry, Tadgh, David, Joe and her sisters Kitty and Josephine.
Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren Michael, Àine, Emma, Hannah, Marie-Claire, Kate, Meave and Imelda Òg, daughters-in-law Marie and Imelda, son-in-law Paddy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
Reposing in Holland’s Funeral Home, Barryroe (P72FY88) on Wednesday, 1st May, from 7 pm to 9 pm followed by prayers at 9 pm. Requiem mass Thursday, 2nd May, in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church (P72T206) at noon followed by burial afterward at Lislevane Cemetery.
