Report for U13 Carbery League game Monday 26 Aug @ 7pm in Barryroe

Result:    Barryroe 3-9   St. Colum’s 0-0

This is a league where all the players are U12 with the exception of the goalie who can be a 13 year old.  Go Game rules applies, i.e. no kicking, no soloing.

Conditions were ideal for the match, not a puff of wind.  Each and every one of the girls played extremely well and there was great team work from all.  Every single one of them picked up the ball and made every effort to get rid of it by hitting or passing it.  

Ciara O’Sullivan opened the first half with a lovely point, followed by another fabulous point at an awkward angle from the full forward line.  The next score again came from Ciara but this time aided by Chloe Collins in the half forward line. It was Andrea Tobin in midfield that went onto to score another very accurate point from play. Ciara was again ready to pick up the ball & went on again to score another point but got great assistance from Megan Murphy to close the first half.  The Barryroe girls were even more determined in the second half; Megan almost tapped in a goal only for the quick reflexes of the St. Colum’s goalie.  Ciara scored again, another 2 points, but this time from the half forward line.  Ciara was really on fire in this match & went on to score two great goals and another two more points.  The last score of the match came from Roisin Dullea in mid field, another fine goal.
